Large parrots often prefer and are more likely to try foods they can easily see and pick up. Thirteen different chunky seeds, grains and legumes are carefully selected and hand-blended to make this easy-to-soak blend.

Organic Almonds are also added to this blend to tempt fussy birds and aid digestion, which can help increase the absorption of some nutrients.

Suitable for Cockatiels, Conures, Quakers, Lorikeets, Rosella, King Parrots, Sun Conures, Caiques, Senegals, Indian-ringnecks, Alexandrines, Galah, Corellas, Hahns Macaws, Cockatoos, Amazons, Large Macaws, Eclectus and African-greys.

Organic Ingredients:
Pumpkin Seeds (Pepitas), Almonds, Mung Beans, Oat Groats, Rye Grains, Green Split Pea, Wheat Grains, Green Lentils, Adzuki Beans, Red Lentils, Chickpeas, Buckwheat, Sunflower Kernels. Please note some ingredients are seasonal and may not be present.

How to start soaking:
Rinse under water one tablespoon per two birds until it runs close to clear. Then soak for 8-12 hours. Ensure that there is at least an inch of water above when soaking, as the blend will expand over time. You may notice while soaking the water will turn dirty. This is normal as nutrients are released into the water.

Once soaked, rinse until it runs close to clear, let drain and serve. Don't worry if you don't get home in time to take it out of the water. The maximum soaking time is 24 hours. Soaked seeds should have an earthy smell and be offered immediately. Discard uneaten portions after 2-3 hours. If you are worried about uneaten food, reduce the portion of the soaked seed, so nothing is left behind.

Don't waste the water you used for soaking; pour it onto your garden. It's full of powerful nutrients!

When feeding soaked seed, ensure it is free from mould, and other kitchen contaminants. If you have particular issues, you can use a few drops of Vetfarm Aviclens or Organic Apple Cider Vinegar when soaking.

Tools you will need:
It can be soaked in any clean container, but you will require a fine strainer as some seeds are very small. Our Beginner Sprouting Jar works best. Soak out of direct sunlight in a cool dark place.

How much to feed:
Can be offered 2-3 times a week, taking into account your bird's daily needs. As a guide one dry tablespoon per two birds. This blend must be soaked and cannot be offered dry.

How to use:
Offer as is, mix into chop or bird recipes.
